                   Former President His Excellency Dr Sam Daniel Shafiishuna Nujoma

In order to give a dignified burial and to give all Namibian time to mourn their beloved Founding Father  Former President, Dr Sam D. Shafiishuna Numjoma who passed away on the 08th February 2025, President Nangolo Mbumba will declare that it as a state funeral.This arrangement will allow for the burial of the Former President on Saturday, the 01st March 2025 and the Memorial Service to took place on Friday, the 21st February 2025 in Eenhana Sports Stadium, Eenhana Consituency, Ohangwena Region. Transportation arrangements are being made to transport the public to and from Independance Stadium on Saturday, the 28th February 2025, for the main memorial service.

Furthermore, the daily memorial services will now take place at the various regions throughout the nation,infront of the newely erected SWAPO Headquators on the 28th February 2025 and move towards to the former state house in the capital. Announcements had been made from the week of 10th February 2025. The Daily Memorial Services will begin from 18:00 to 20:00 at the residence of the late Former President, Dr Sam D. Shafiishuna Nujoma. The public is implored not to assemble at the residence of the late President .
